The thought process of the episode is that this feels like a finale. My only thought for the episode back in May when looking at Finn and Jake taking center stage, especially with Finn going on a quest through various levels of the otherworld in search for Jake in hopes to die together, which pretty much give away the answer for what happened to the guy back in “Obsidian” regarding the Jake tattoo that Finn got on his chest. It was great to have his voice actor, Ron Perlman, reprising his role for the episode. To the big bad himself and no, it’s not Grob from the second half of the finale of the original series. Spoiler alert for people who haven’t seen it yet, but it did include characters that we are all familiar in a range from Lumpy Space Princess to Tree Trunks, in which the episode of the episode have it dedicated to her voice actress, Polly Lou Livingston, who passed away at the start of this year. Guess it’s probably the whole nostalgia feel when working on the show and the episode when seeing various characters popping up in through various scenes. Talking about “Together Again”, which was first on the agenda for the panel for the day is all recaps with some of the members who appeared on the panel, mostly both Distant Lands producer Adam Muto and voice actor for Jake, John DiMaggio, sharing their thoughts about the episode and Distant Lands as a whole following the end of the original series back in 2018. ![]() This time around, it’s “Together Again”, which was the episode that dropped back in May of this year with “Wizard City”, which is the last episode of the Distant Lands series and obviously the Adventure Time franchise as a whole coming out later this year. In the panel almost 12 months ago, the cast and crew of the show talked about the first two episodes of the hour-long series from HBO Max, “BMO” as a recap a month before that panel and “Obsidian”, which was the next one up which dropped later that year in November. Speaking of last year, Adventure Time: Distant Lands. Y’all know which shows I’m talking about once the weekend drags on while their seasons are still going on. When looking through the panel from start to finish much a grin to the virtual panels last year during the height of the pandemic, everything is pre-recorded weeks, if not, months in advance. ![]() So let’s talk about Comic-Con for Day 1 and it looks like we may have some information regarding one of the shows if you haven’t read the title of the article, and that is Distant Lands. And with that, come the recaps from each panel that ever piqued my interest and this is one of them regarding the first day of the three-day weekend while being stuck at home for the second year in a row before heading back to going to conventions in-person come 2022…unless the Delta variant of the coronavirus decided to have different ideas for next year as some sort of sick joke. ![]() Day 1 of what is pretty much a three-day hassle of a weekend has been a wrap, for yours truly of course.
